The International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE) took place from 6 - 8th October 2009 at the Kentucky Fair & Exposition Center in Louisville. Hirschmann presented a series of systems and sensors for use in mobile automation.

The Electronic Control Systems Division of Hirschmann Automation and Control, Inc. has a new director. In his new position, Cleveland Parker is responsible for the sales and operations in North and South America.

A sensational event took place in Changsha, China: the crane manufacturer Changsha Zoomlion Heavy Industrial Science & Technology Development Co., Ltd. has launched one of the biggest cranes ever built in China - the 1,000 ton QUY 1000 lattice boom crawler crane. The customised solution for reliable load moment indication comes from Hirschmann.
