Hello,

the demands in automation technology are being directed increasingly towards customer-specific solutions. Electronic Control Systems (ECS), one of the five divisions of the new business business unit Belden EMEA, offers an answer here. In the wake of the recent restructuring ECS gained new management. On the 1st May 2008 Harry Oortwijn was appointed General Manager.

An unusual fire brigade operation caused some excitement in Ettlingen. This centred on an unconventional in-house repair carried out by Hirschmann Automation and Control for a company from Karlsruhe, Metz Aerials GmbH & CO. KG.

Hirschmann Automation and Control now has a powerful partner in Chile for the sale of its wide range of products in the shape of Fesanco. Chile is one of the biggest producers of raw materials in Latin America and offers promising growth potential for advanced mobile automation technology in the burgeoning mining sector.
